Smart mobile devices and applications, working in concert with cloud computing, social networking and big data analytics, will be at the central of global health care transformation. These transformative technologies will remain to lead with ways to help rein in cost, broaden access, change behaviors and improve outcomes. Like m-health, supply chain should be healthy enough from counterfeit equipment.

prabhakar,

I think intensive QA & QC process for each and every released product does help a lot.

@Latex, I agree with you. The supply chain has to be healthy enough to be able to meet the exploding demand created by Mobile health and also the components supplied for these applications have to be 100% healthy as some of these applications may be life critical.

So first we have to devise a health check up system for the supply chain to filter out fake components and counterfeits.

In fact when it comes to wearable and healthcare products, the supply chain has to be extremely healthy, safe, and secure from bad components or fake components.

Wearable computing is a major trend to watch for mHealth. The maker/do-it-yourself communities have shown good traction in wearables, as have more established companies. MHealth is best when it's customizable and customizing is what makers do best.

Health could take a leaf from the car industry (especially from Nissan heehee) in that cars have moved away from periodic inspections to continuous monitoring of the car's health.  Wearable health electronics that watch our every breath and heart beat could provide some badly needed early warnings that could save many lives.

In fact, the mhealth revolution has already started. The price cutting of mobile devices, accelerated population aging, the limitation of medical resources.. all form strong steam to the bright future of mhealth. And the international large suppliers has started the layout.
