The remedy for the industry is multi - fold 1. Supply needs to catch up with demand. There is no easy solution. The Global economy is not in good shape. The Chinese have not fully succeeded in growing their domestic economy and the rest of the world is not consuming at levels necessary to absorb the current vessel capacity 2. While the Global economic situation is percolating along, the carriers need to show some discipline in the pricing behavior Consolidation and further service reductions might help but as the new builds hit the water carriers will be pressed to fill space so this item is less likely than a Global economic resurgence
