Someone needs to replace his caculator batteries.  The number of individuals with Internet access is less than the world population, so the number of Internet-connected devices per person with Internet access is larger than the number of Internet-connected devices per person based on world population.

In 2003, the world population was about 6.34 billion, and the number of people with Internet access was about 779 million (= 0.779 billion).  If there were 500 million (= 0.5 billion) Internet-connected devices, then there were 0.5 billion / 6.34 billion = 0.08 devices per person.  This figure is correct in the article.  There were 0.5 billion / 0.779 billion = 0.6 devices per person with Internet access, not 0.02 devices per person with Internet access! This figure is incorrect in the article.
