@t.alex: Yes even Samsung did the same and Apple will follow in the near future. Google glass is also another thing which adds to that list.

@Hospice: Anything raises security concerns and that is something which many have to accept. Just because there are concerns you should not try to block everything. Alternatively what we should do is to find a way to mitigate the concerns and risks.

IoT may have great potential in helping gather better data about the "things" in the world, but, but it does raise new concerns about data privacy, data sovereignty and security.

IoT is definitely overwhelming. Google recently releases SDK for smartwatch. Wearable technologies and products will connect all things to web pretty soon.
