TaimmorZ, you are right. open source nature can bring down the software cost. But passing such cost effectiveness to the end customer again depends up on the vendors or OEMs.

Art Swift, thanks and great to know that 'PRPL Foundation' also contributing towards open source. I think open source movements are gaining moments into IoT too and this can make IoT based devices more affordable.
