Well, it's already been a time difference of a few months since the original article, so that could be contributing to the lower prices hardman.ts is seeing where he is now. Electronics prices seem to continually march downward (except for medical electronics, which would be a great area for China to revolutionize economically).

I would like to know more about how these average figures were measured. These are not anything like the prices I am seeing locally. My local prices are much lower.

"One major exception to this trend was the continued price decline of the ever-popular 32-inch TV sector."

This I believe, but again, the prices I am seeing are lower than the averages quoted. Is there somewhere where people are paying really, really high prices, and dragging these averages up so high?

It's one who understands, finance, marketing, economics, is savvy with technology, graceful with relationships and can think analytically. Where are these people? Are universities properly preparing the next generation supply chain professionals? How do train your existing workforce for these new, demanding positions? Brian Fuller, editor-in-chief of EBN, will lead a 60-minute Avnet Velocity panel discussion that will ask and answer these and other questions swirling around today's supply-chain talent challenges.
