Hailey,

Absolutely! Thats what you call Creative Destruction at its finest.

Something which Crony Capitalists and Statists can't stand.

Market Forces is the most secular force out there to decide who Wins and WHo Loses.

Hailey,

Absolutely!

Working Smarter and Harder is definitely the right way to Go about things today.

Question is how many Companies will be ready and willing to make this Transistion today?

Not many.

I guess that's what seperates the Winners from the Rest?

Hailey,

That maybe so.

It can also be a sign that the Company has missed the Bus Entirely on where it should be focussed entirely-The End-Game.

@Tech4People, i don't know if the lessening of the pressure is global, but i think some organizations are focusing more on supply chain and providing resources to it. In addition, there are improved tools that oranizations can work smarter not jut harder.

@Tech4People, your comment reminds me of the importance of agility in the supply chain and manufacturing. Overcapacity can be the result of not allocating capacity to where hte market is headed quickly enough.

Hailey,

Why Did you feel that the Pressure should have gotten any less?

I don't see any Signs Globally of a Recovery away from the Great Recession. Its just a Case of More Pressure Piling on already frayed Nerves Globally.

Hailey,

A Most interesting Blogpost!

Yes,I am sure there are few specific Industries which are Seeing Increase in Capex;but The Big issue at hand here is that this is'nt the case Globally across all Industries.

We have a serious issue of Over-capacity today.

And the only way to Solve that is to let some of those Manufacturers go out of Business.

@Tech4People, Capex spending is on the rise in some parts of the indsutry. In the semiconductor industry, for example, there have been big gains in recent years. Here's a piece from EE Times that points to that: Semi Makers Spend Big on Capex  (I'll admit i'm a tad biased on this one...since i wrote the article. :) )
