(NYSE: AVT), today announced it has been selected as a solutions distributor in Latin America and Caribbean for VCE, a leader in converged infrastructure systems. Avnet will now support VCE in Brazil, Central America, the Caribbean, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Mexico. As part of this agreement, Avnet will accelerate the sales cycle of the Vblock™ Systems based on its solutions distribution expertise around converged data center environments. Avnet will also support partners in the VCE Partner Program and streamline the VCE engagement and supply process through its close alignment with Cisco, EMC and VMware.
