Mr,Roques,

The stock may be paralized just as many are. It's hard to imagine Apple without Steve Jobs, even though we all knew it was going to happen at some point.

Surprised the majority has voted yes so far. Those of you that voted "yes," care to share why you think that'll be the case?

I really don't think this hurts Apple. It's really nearly only a symbolic change, at this point. Clearly Jobs had not been in charge of the day-to-day for awhile.

In a company the size of Apple, one person leaving isn't really going to change things all that much, even if it's the guy at the top. Apple would not be where it is today without numerous amounts of talent, all across the org chart.

So if you think his resignation hurts Apple... how specifically? How does this make Apple less successful or valuable?

From what I'm seeing, I'm amazed. The stock hasn't taken the toll I thought it would take.

Job's legacy will be too much for Cook but it needed to happen, he couldn't live forever.

Steve Jobs departure from Apple may or may not temporarily cause a slight set back within the operational system of the company. This will be revealed as time progresses.  The new CEO, Timothy Cooks' leadership style cannot compare to that of Steve Jobs - with respect.

I'm sure Apples new CEO is equally a man of high repute and drive and will certainly lead Apple into another innovative dimension. At least he has managed to hold the fort in the interim.

I wish him a great success.

Peter Drucker famously said "Trying to predict the future is like trying to drive down a country road at night with no lights while looking out the back window." Yet in the razor's-edge world of electronics—with a lean supply chain and just-in-time demands—the need to know the future is vital.

You've heard the saying "the No. 1 supply chain risk is your people." That hasn't always been the case. But today's complex global supply chain requires a new type of multitalented employee. It's one who understands, finance, marketing, economics, is savvy with technology, graceful with relationships and can think analytically. Where are these people? Are universities properly preparing the next generation supply chain professionals? How do train your existing workforce for these new, demanding positions? Brian Fuller, editor-in-chief of EBN, will lead a 60-minute Avnet Velocity panel discussion that will ask and answer these and other questions swirling around today's supply-chain talent challenges.
