They already have. I believe most users that have one device will soon purchase another one within the next 6 months-year

That might all change now with the ruling against Samsung!

@pocharle, ruling against samsung is good news for the Microsoft. So windows will emerge as major competitor to Apple because feel and display of windows phones is totally different compared to Apple phones.

Welll, they've had the Apple TV for quite some time now. It works well (Netflix, etc), so yeah, they are full into making an iEnvironment.

anandvy, what is the basis of such prediction? The mail chain is so long that i do not know whether you have already provided the link? I agree that more and more smartphone manufacturer are providing third alternative to the consumers but how much impact will it have will depend on the symbiotic relationship of hardware and software.

Now they're going with a TV line as well. You might soon see competition with Microsoft-Xbox integration.

Yeah, the current trend is to try to integrate the full product line ... photos, music, apps. I'm sure it will have that functionality.
