the read speed is definitely faster. Is there any impact on the write speed as compared to HDD?

The SFF connector looks very interestig for future proofing designs.  On a side note my friend just replaced his laptop HDD with a SSD and was amazed at the perfomance improvement in his laptop with boot time in the seconds compared to minutes.

PCIe gen3 can achieve such high speed - i am not sure if there is any limitation for the cable to connect between the connectors? Parts Search
