Reverse Logistics: Reclaiming Value in the High-Tech Supply Chain
![]() Date: Tuesday, October 09, 2012 Time: 11:00am PT/2:00pm ET Overview: The high tech industry is facing two divergent challenges when it comes to product lifecycle. Consumer products are being upgraded and replaced faster than ever before. At the same time, high-end, high-value equipment is increasingly being designed for—and used—for the long-haul. These dynamics put the high-tech supply chain in a unique position to provide an additional level of service and support to the electronics ecosystem. Consumer goods that are set aside due to an upgrade can be returned, refurbished and redeployed: thereby retaining their value for the manufacturer. Heavy equipment that is otherwise operating efficiently sometimes needs fast, dependable post-sales repair and support. The only way to effectively execute, track and manage these complex transactions is through focused attention on reverse logistics. Reverse logistics is actually a two-way street by which products can be repaired, returned, refurbished and redeployed. Leaders in the logistics field can provide a suite of services that help manufacturers manage these complicated transactions without taxing their own resources. In this Webinar, logistics and distribution experts from UPS and electronic products solutions company Jabil will discuss the array of services provided by reverse logistics; how the system supports the 3Rs—return, refurbish and redeploy—and how manufacturers can derive the most value for their products after they reach the end-customer. Join us on October 9 at 2 pm EST and find out how you can extract more value form your electronics supply chain. Who should attend:
