In 2018, counterfeit goods counted for more than 3% of global trade. With no signs of it slowing down, the U.S. government is trying to take matters into its own hands. However, companies donít need to wait for guidelines on how to combat pirated goods. Implementing IoT and smart label technologies will allow organizations to track their assets through the supply chain and ensure consumers are buying authentic products.

I am a fan of additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing. These developments are due, in no small part, to the companies now participating in the sector that range from small startups to large printer and consumables brands.
