ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Approximately 1,300 Colorado residents recycled more than 154,000 pounds of electronic devices on Sunday, Aug. 11, at the Mile High Electronics Recycling Event hosted by Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE: ARW) in partnership with Comcast, the City and County of Denver Public Works/Denver Recycles and Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
A wide range of electronics including computer hardware and peripherals, home office machines, mobile devices, television and gaming equipment and small appliances were collected. Denver Broncos cheerleaders and past players participated to meet fans and sign autographs.
“Arrow applauds Colorado residents for legally and securely disposing of electronics by participating in this event,” said Mark Majeske, president, global reverse logistics, of Englewood, Colo.,-based Arrow. “Arrow assures residents that all data will be removed from collected items and that electronics will be repurposed, donated to charity or recycled through the industry’s most socially and environmentally responsible methods.”
