I had not heard of Akustica but seeing Bosch owns them now it is worth more of a look. I wonder how their new technology compare to the conventional bottom port designs in terms of cost and performance.

Smartphones do have a good market right now and it will keep on increasing everyday for sure. So I feel its a good move and the competition will make things much more favorable towards the users.

Mems microphone seems to be one of the trends nowadays. I remember the iPhone 5 introduction there was some enhance to the microphone, not sure of Apple uses Mems microphone or not.
