OCM Test

A well-written piece from my perspective - thank you. I will add that "Test" doesn't get enough of the conversation when it comes to validating a product. From an OCM perspective, test is the culimination of every single piece of customer feedback and every usage nuance ever put to a product that could have generated a test escape. The final OCM test solution can be man-years of investment that goes way beyond any datasheet or user manual will document as a result of all that customer feedback and potentially millions of units shipped. When a product bought out of independent distribution is "tested" at a test house, it is not tested with that OCM test solution, knowledge, or thoroughness. It can't be. Therein lies a mistake people sometimes make - and that is by saying that when a part is tested to a datasheet that they are OK. They may be OK or may not be OK, but not at the coverage of the OCM test solution and never will be. Buying Authorized, if at all possible, is still the lowest risk.
