I think engineers are busy as they claim to be. They all have deadlines to meet, sometimes they don't even have to show up at work they can work from home. It's unnecessary to micromanagement engineers as they sure know what to do to finish their jobs. Technology nowadays keep changing in very fast pace, therefore their jobs get harder to catch up with the trend to satisfy customes.

"None of us, or course, is going to admit to watching cat videos or playing Tetris at work. But are engineers really as crazy-busy as they claim to be? And if they are, what's going on?"

Kareen, that's a big question. Even everyday am hearing the same thing that "My subordinates are busy"; but no outputs.
