@Hailey - I agree. For that reason, I avoid the discount cards that many of the chain retailers offer, regardless of the incentives. I also do a lot of cash transactions, and often resort to using gift cards for on-line purchases at websites that I am not familiar with. I probably sound a little overboard, but I don't worry too much when I see security breaches at retailers either.

@Eldredge, data security is a pet topic of mine. I am concerned about corporate data. In particular, in those instances where information from multiple systems are combined. Sometimes, when you do that, you end up with really critical information that needs to be safeguarded, both for practical reason but also to allow for the organiation to remain compliant with privacy policies and laws. It's something that supply chain pros are going to have to consider.

i am thinking about those days when cloud services were still mostly unknowns and most of us were worried about our data and privacy issues. Though i do not think that cloud systems are any more secure now as they were before but we are more willing to use them now as our friends and family member have been using them to store their songs/movies/pictures etc. Same with mobile phones, their radiation and effect on health.

The point is that its easier to go back to the dark ages than to embrace a new technology but most of us still choose second option.

@Hailey - It is more than a little concerning when you realize just how much personal information may be available to corporate entities.

In latest interview of Apple CEO, this is exactly he contradicted. Are you certain this is what happens? Apple may not make this type of faux pas!

Also all talks are not nice talks, even with Siri. Some people use Siri as partner and and Apple may not like to listen to that.

Thanks for saying this out loud! I'm begining, at times, to feel over monitored. How far i walk, what temperature my house is, calories consumed and the rest. Some days, I want to go back to the dark ages!
