I'm thinking that courier tracking is some form of RFID tracking too isn't it? But I'm more amused that this whole entire series of tracking and making sure that parcels and things actually stems from the whole customer experience and their expectation of a company's service levels. Companies are deathly afraid to displease customers, so this accountability is just another method to protect themselves from liability.
