PHOENIX — Avnet Electronics Marketing, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today introduced the Artix®-7 50T FPGA Evaluation Kit featuring the Xilinx® Artix®-7 FPGA, a low-cost device, with half the power consumption and twice the performance and logic capacity versus previous generations. The Artix-7 50T FPGA Evaluation Kit allows engineers to evaluate the small form-factor of Artix-7 FPGAs for high-volume applications in cost-sensitive markets such as industrial control, test and measurement, medical and communications, at a price of $239.
The Artix-7 50T FPGA board included in the kit provides the necessary interfaces and functions to support most prototyping needs. Board features include the Artix-7 XC7A50T-1FTG256C FPGA, 256 MB of DDR3 SDRAM, 32 MB QSPI Flash, Dual 10/100 Ethernet PHYs, USB-UART port, on-board JTAG programming port, and 6 Digilent-compatible Pmod™ expansion ports. Example reference designs supporting the MicroBlaze™ soft processor and industrial Ethernet are provided through the Avnet Design Resource Center.
