Avnet Expert to Present at DesignMED

PHOENIX — As the complexity of medical devices has increased, the process of software validation has become a correspondingly intensive process for medical device designers. Avnet (NYSE: AVT) microcontroller and security technologies expert Jim Carver illustrates how utilizing the latest technology can lessen the time spent on de-bugging and validating system software in his presentation “Advanced Techniques for Software Validation” at the upcoming DesignMED Conference.

Taking place February 8-10, 2011, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., DesignMED is an adjunct conference to Medical Design and Manufacturing West (MD&M). Carver, technical director for Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, is a 25-year industry veteran who has been educating the engineering community for more than two decades. His talk, which takes place on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. PST, illustrates the benefits of integrating state-of-the-art microcontrollers and microprocessors into medical device designs.
