Avnet Signs On as Taste of the NFL’s First Arizona Hunger Champion Partner

PHOENIX — TASTE OF THE NFL (TNFL), a 501c3 organization, today announced that Phoenix-based Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), a global electronic components and enterprise IT solutions distributor, has signed on as the organization’s first Arizona Hunger Champion, an exclusive team of four community sponsor-partners committed to TNFL’s goal of hunger relief in America.

As an Arizona Hunger Champion, Avnet and its employees and partners have committed to help fight hunger in Arizona as well as other communities where they do business. To celebrate the new partnership and kick off internal programs, Avnet’s Arizona-based employees donated 2,887 pounds of food, along with cash donations of $2,847 as part of a recent employee event. This donation will be delivered to St. Mary’s Food Bank and provide approximately 22,816 meals to feed Arizona’s hungry.
