DC Electronics Expands to Increase Capacity

SAN JOSE, Calif. — DC Electronics, a San Jose, California based cable and harness assembly firm, today announced the expansion of its 30,000 sq.ft. facility in San Jose, CA. The company will add another 12,500 sq.ft. of manufacturing floor.

“We want to stay ahead of our customers' needs and these new initiatives help make us the kind of company that can do that,” says VP of Operations, Ruben Macias. The plant expansion is part of the company's ongoing strategy to develop a process capable of adapting to rapidly changing technology and economic conditions. “To be competitive in the 21st century, we have to be very good at change,” says company President Dave Cianciulli. He adds, “Our expansion is just one more step as we continue to evolve to meet new demands.”

DC Electronics will use the additional space to create a new, state-of-the-art ESD, (Electro Static Discharge) and testing area. It will also increase capacity by adding an additional four manufacturing cells. The build-out follows a successful initiative to apply high-level systems to its San Jose manufacturing facility. All production lines are ISO 9100:2008, AS9100B registered and UL/CSA safety approved. The company has also installed advanced IT and data management systems to ensure real-time quality and on-time delivery tracking.
