Zollner, the world’s largest privately owned EMS company with facilities in Silicon Valley, Costa Rica and throughout the world, has partnered with Plug and Play, a global startup ecosystem and venture fund specializing in the development of early-to-growth stage technology startups. The partnership will provide technology startups with a real insight into the complexities of taking an innovation through product introduction right to global fulfillment.
Zollner has more than 40 years’ experience supporting companies, large and small, new and established, to take product ideas through the entire product lifecycle, supporting design, product introduction, volume manufacturing and even end of life recycling and repair. They will bring the experience their thousands of staff have, and the value of their global footprint to the startups and ecosystem partners at Plug and Play and expect to be able to help startups establish a plan to fulfil the potential of their innovations.
During a ceremony in September, the Zollner logo was added to the Plug & Play Strategic Partner wall at the Sunnyvale, California headquarters in the presence of executives from Zollner in the Americas and from their headquarters in Zandt, Germany.
Saeed Amidi, Founder and CEO of Plug and Play said, “We are delighted to be able to share Zollner’s manufacturing and supply chain experience with our innovators. Getting from an idea to a fulfilled product is challenging and Zollner has huge experience and resources to help startups get there as fast as possible. Having the right operations and supply chain can accelerate the growth of a new business and in some cases can be the difference between success and failure”
Zollner’s Americas President, Faiyaz Syed responded saying, “Plug and Play has a lot of exciting new companies developing exciting and innovative solutions, technologies and products. We believe we can help them get to market faster, more effectively and more economically. Plug and Play is central to trends like Mobility, Smart Home and Health and we are extremely pleased to partnered with them and the other distinguished partners within their ecosystem.” Faiyaz added, “This partnership is further recognition of our capabilities, commitment and growth in Silicon Valley and in the Americas generally.”
