ATLANTA — Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA) members and prospective members met recently in Signal Hill, CA to discuss benefits of the association. ECIA is a national trade association for manufacturers of electronic components and their authorized distributors and designated representatives. Jim Harper of Harper and Two hosted the Southern California event and will serve as the chapter’s president.
“The individuals that attended this event want to broaden their industry experience and meet with all members of the supply chain,” said Harper. “There is a lot of energy and excitement about this new chapter and the value ECIA offers. For rep firms in particular, the association provides a means to work together with our business partners to achieve mutual goals and improve the business climate for the authorized sale of electronics.”
The Southern California chapter meeting attracted roughly 25 manufacturer rep, manufacturer and distributor ECIA members and potential members. The chapter will meet quarterly to network, address local industry issues and review association progress on a variety of initiatives. For more information on the benefits of membership, visit ECIA’s website.
