Atlanta, GA – The latest ECIA Sales Trends survey has the North American market showing growth in calendar quarter Q3 compared to the calendar quarter Q2. The survey includes individual inputs from distributors, manufacturers and manufacturer representatives of ECIA member companies.
- Thirty-five percent (35%) of those responding see the market flat in Q3 compared to Q2 while forty-five percent (45%) see the market up 1% to 3%,
- Fifteen percent (15%) see the market growing greater than three percent (3%) with only five percent (5%) actually projecting the market to decline in Q3.
- The key market sectors for growth opportunity are automotive, industrial and medical. Over fifty percent (50%) of those responding to the survey see product growth in the range of three percent (3%) on average with the strongest growth coming from semiconductor products and electromechanical products. The strongest growth in electromechanical products will come from sensor devices.
