Lately, a lot of attention has been focused on the millennial workforce. Perhaps, that's to be expected: Today, this group has the the largest percentage of the current workforce.
The good news is that that every group , whether Millennial, Baby Boomer, or Generation X, brings something special to the mix. Boomers are the optimistic and involved generation who want to make a difference. Generation X has entrepreneurial spirit, and has created pragmatic and independent global thinkers. Millennials are counting on the workplace to help them achieve their goals. They want responsibility and they cherish work/life balance. All are important to the success of the organization.
At the same time, each group is looking for something different in terms of compensation package. Finding the right incentives for each group is critical to hiring and retaining the right mix of people.
