MUNICH and HOUSTON — Supply Chain Council (SCC, www.supply-chain.org), a global not-for-profit management association, announced the winners of the 2010 Awards for Supply Chain Excellence at the Supply Chain World Europe conference in Munich this week. Winners included:
“As this year’s winners of the Supply Chain Council Excellence awards have once again demonstrated, superior supply chain performance is essential for meeting business performance and financial goals”
• Infineon Technologies AG received the Award for Supply Chain Operational Excellence and the Global Award for Supply Chain Excellence.
• The Research Center on Logistics and After-Sales Service (CELS) at the University of Bergamo (Italy), Department of Industrial Engineering received the Award for Supply Chain Academic Excellence.
“As this year’s winners of the Supply Chain Council Excellence awards have once again demonstrated, superior supply chain performance is essential for meeting business performance and financial goals,” said Joseph Francis, executive director for Supply Chain Council. “It takes a real team effort to make sustainable performance improvements across department and organizational boundaries. We commend the winners for their achievements and for sharing their knowledge and application of SCOR with the supply chain community.”
The SCC Global Award for Supply Chain Excellence recipient is selected from the winners of the category awards, including the Supply Chain Operational Excellence in the Defense Sector, which is announced in April. The Global Award recognizes the organization that has made the greatest contribution to demonstrating or advancing the supply chain management body of knowledge within the past year.
