Intel Buys Movidius: Automotive Vision in Play?

MADISON, Wis. – Intel Corp. unveiled early Tuesday morning the company’s plan to acquire Movidius Technology, a San Mateo, Calif.-based startup who has developed an ultra-low-power computer vision-processor.

The deal is expected to close in the later third or early fourth quarter this year. The two companies have not disclosed the transaction cost.
