GREENVILLE, S.C. — Kemet Corporation (NYSE: KEM), a leading manufacturer of tantalum, ceramic, aluminum, film, paper and electrolytic capacitors, today announced new DSCC (Defense Supply Center, Columbus) qualified tantalum surface mount capacitors for defense and aerospace applications.
“DSCC qualification for our T493 Series is key for military and aerospace customers requiring this approval and demonstrates Kemet's commitment to critical applications,” said Ed Jones, Kemet Business Development Manager for Advanced Tantalum Technologies. “This product release extends Kemet's leadership position for COTS type CWR11 Style capacitors with the largest CV and ESR options available in the industry.”
Kemet's approved capacitors meet the requirements, specifications and standards outlined in DSCC Drawing 07016, complementing our DSCC Drawing 95158 products with additional part type and ESR offerings. DSCC qualification applies to the T493 Military/Aerospace COTS MnO2 Series.
