"Yeah but the path streches across thosands of kilometers. The other thing is we do no know whether the flght stopped moving after the signal was lost. So trying to track it using satallite data is not as simple as it appears."

Nimantha, we can found where it lost.

"I don't think this was a mistake. As of now, we know that the flight was turned back and instead of coming back to KL, they continued thousands of mies off course without contacting anyone. How can that be classified as a mistake?"

Nimantha, it seems that all the communication transponders are turned off manually. Otherwise they can get in touch with nearby ATC at any point of time. Moreover, whenever the ATC contacted with pilot, they hadn't shared anything by always saying "everything is fine".

Adenji,

That was my point as well.

I find it really-really hard to understand how inspite of the Massive Amount of Resources that various Countries have pumped into this Search ,Not a Single Sign of the plane turned up anywhere.

That itself should sound highly suspicious to most Conspiracy Theorists out there.

"With the black box out now, what else on a plane can be used to locate it, so that means the search would be done manually and that also means so many unnecessary places will have to be searched in the process of recovering the missing plane"

Adeniji, as of now nothing. Black box is for data recording and retrieving. The other options are analyzing the path through ATC and satellite based navigation maps/ GPS.

"You are right on that and that was because its a strange event in the first place. It is not common for black box to stop communicating just like that."

Adeniji, we cannot say like that because battery/cell has only limited power and it starts drain if it's not get recharged. The only issue is about self emitting tracking signals, datas inside black box is safer for ever.
