Collaborative robots

There's a category of manufacturing robots that work with humans rather than displacing them from the factory floor: collaborative robots.

Collaborative robots may serve to replace temporary workers and those in simple assembly or materials handling tasks, though. But for the most part they are there as assistants rather than replacements.
