The climate of shopping is changing, but I reckon that there will be a long while yet before there is a visible preference of one over the other. There are still plenty of people around who will prefer doing things in person in stead of online or even having a virtual assistant taking care of everything. I for one have watched enough movies to know that we need to retain some of that responsibility instead of passing it all off to robots!

At this moment, I sincerely doubt that there would be any merit opening up a retail store, but I think that it makes sense to create opportunities for your business to showcase its products if you deal with physical items. People being people are going to want to see and touch your wares at some point. Not everyone will be so trusting as to purchase something online without any sort of verification of its standard and quality.
