I reckon that there are a lot of people who don't have a good grasp of things that have happened in history right now but to be honest, I think that it's secondary. Yes it helps to be aware of situations that have happened in the past and how we can learn from it so as not to make the same mistakes in the future, but there's no time like the present to see how well we are iterating these ideals to know if the current generation is benefiting from that experience or not.

Well, I guess it is indeed true that we all learn from our past mistakes. If we have committed a mistake before, we simply take it as an experience curve and try our best to avoid the same incident from recurring. If companies fail to apply this method onto their data and supply chain environment, they could cause their companies to incur unnecessary costs along the way. This is quite scary to learn of especially when data integrity within the supply chain sector is highly crucial as it involves the end consumer too.
