The SAE 2013 Counterfeit Parts Avoidance Symposium, scheduled for Sept. 27 in Montreal, will provide an open technical forum on the negative effects of counterfeit electronic parts and the processes to mitigate that impact on business. Special emphasis will be on the risks that counterfeit components pose to aerospace and defense manufacturers.
Industry leaders will participate in panel discussions and presentations on key issues, including identification of counterfeit parts, risk assessment, avoidance protocols, test methodologies and compliance.
