CHICAGO — Newark/element14, a leading multi-channel, high-service electronics distributor in the Americas, and a business of global Premier Farnell, announced today it was stocking FCI's XCede® vertical backplane headers and right-angle daughter card receptacles.
Offering 25Gb/s performance, the XCede® connector system provides engineers with a clear long-term migration path for the equipment platforms they design that will need to evolve in the future to enable higher speed signaling and higher levels of performance.
XCede® connectors address requirements for higher linear signal density at the backplane or midplane interface and also provide the ruggedness and long-term reliability required in today's high-end systems. The use of advanced engineering polymers in a resonance-damping shield eliminates crosstalk resonances and enables very low crosstalk across a wide frequency range.
“This is a very relevant and exciting new product for the high-speed backplane market and we are pleased to bring it to the attention of design engineers,” said Jeff Uden, VP Product Management, Newark/element14. “More new technology products that target communications, data, industrial and medical applications can be found at www.newark.com/new.”
An engineer from FCI is available for technical chat and the FCI line is available for same-day shipping at www.newark.com/fci-electronics.
