WALLDORF — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced that the Chinese Trusted Blockchain Alliance has appointed SAP as vice chair to deepen the integration of blockchain across industries.
The joint initiative of companies and research institutions seeks to facilitate co-innovation, advance blockchain standards and increase international cooperation. The alliance was established with the support of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT).
“The Chinese Trusted Blockchain Alliance unifies efforts and underlines the joint desire to advance these technologies and drive adoption across industries,” said Torsten Zube, head of blockchain, SAP. “Combining SAP’s technical and business expertise with CAICT’s ecosystem, all parties will work closely to unleash new value for companies.”

Ruicheng Li, managing director, SAP Labs China, SAP (China) Co. Ltd., was appointed as deputy chair of the Industrial Internet Blockchain Special Working Group, an initiative of the Trusted Blockchain Alliance and Industrial Internet of Things Alliance to accelerate the application of blockchain technologies.
