Talk on Supply Chain Transformation at General Dynamics Added to ECIA Regional Series Program in Phoenix

Atlanta, GA – ECIA is pleased to announce that Scotty Miller of General Dynamics will round out the program at the Phoenix Regional Series Event in Scottsdale, Arizona, February 7. Mr. Miller joins Tushar Nandwana, of One Beacon Technology Insurance and Gerry Fay, global president of Avnet Electronics Marketing for a powerful, forward-looking program to kick off the 2017 Regional Series event.

Scotty Miller is vice president of Supply Chain Management for General Dynamics Mission Systems and he directs procurement activities for all companies within the General Dynamics Information Systems and Technology business group. His presentation will address the question of how the transformation of General Dynamics’ supply chain will impact the electronics industry.

“Mr. Miller’s supply chain team is responsible for the subcontract management and procurement of all materials, services and support across the company, including electronic components,” noted Debbie Conyers, ECIA vice president of member engagement. “Attendees will be very interested in the latest supply chain strategic thinking going on inside this important defense industry player.” 

Tushar Nandwana's presentation will focus on artificial intelligence/machine learning systems. Attendees will learn about the proliferation of AI's use in existing and new applications, and potential concerns or hazards associated with the technology.

Gerry Fay of Avnet will share his unique perspective of industry trends and his forecast moving into 2017.

Promoted to global president, Avnet Electronics Marketing in October 2013, Mr. Fay is responsible for the operating group's strategic direction, day-to-day operations and global performance.
