Valentine’s By the Numbers: Celebrate with Electronics

Who says the best way to say “I love you!” is with candy, flowers, or fancy dinners? Perhaps those are the most popular choices, but electronic gadgets may be the perfect gift in this modern age.

In fact, four out of ten folks would much rather have the latest and greatest smart phone as a Valentine's day gift, according to the infographic below from FatWallet.com.  Chocolate can make you fat. Roses die to quickly. But a technological gadget stays around forever, or at least for a few years.

A recent survey from Ebates.com find that electronics are a popular Valentines Day gift, and likely to get more popular. In fact, one in five Americans indicated that they want a laptop with their Valentine greeting, while 16% are looking for a tablet, and another 10% would rather have a Fitbit, Jawbone, or other fitness tracker.
