LOS ALTOS, Calif. — WIMM Labs, creators of an innovative platform to enable a new class of personal connected micro devices that deliver information at a glance in a wearable form factor, today announced a second round of financing from Hon Hai Precision Industries, the world’s largest electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company.

Los Altos-based WIMM Labs initiated technology collaboration with and received a Series A investment from Foxconn in early 2010. This relationship and second round of funding affirms Foxconn’s strong belief in WIMM Labs’ technology platform and team.
The WIMM platform includes embeddable, touch-screen driven hardware, an open application environment, and tightly integrated Web services. The company enables consumer brand licensees in mobile, sports, health, fashion, finance, and consumer electronics to rollout connected smart devices, which deliver functionality such as command and control, personal productivity, information monitoring and display at a glance. WIMM Labs also works closely with developers to create, distribute and monetize applications through white-label app stores.
